Public Restroom Etiquette

In grooming, smells by Amy VosejpkaLeave a Comment

If you’re like me, you’re gearing up for plenty of outdoor activities and maybe even some international travel. As I’m sure many of you will be heading to the boardwalk, hanging out at your local festival or cooling off cooling off at your local bar, I thought ‘why not offer up some sound advice about your trip to the bathroom?’ That’s right ladies and gentlemen we’re getting a little dirty this week with some bathroom talk. But there’s no reason to be embarrassed! We all gotta go.

Now I’m sure it may be obvious to some, but there are a handful of easy ways for you to be courteous during your next public restroom visit. It’s important to keep in mind how much work individuals put into keeping any public restroom clean and tidy for all. And if you want to help ease the jobs of many and be courteous to your local vendors, look below for my easy ways of keeping things tidy this summer.

Tip 1: Always flush after yourself

I mean, come on. We’ve all seen things we haven’t wanted to while using the powder room. Don’t be one of those people.

Tip 2: Pick up anything you might drop on the floor

Don’t make others have to pick up after you! If you drop tissues or paper towels on the ground, be sure to get them in the trash.

Tip 3: Wipe down the sink

Don’t you just hate it when you walk into a bathroom and everything’s wet?! Be courtesy of the people using the facilities after you and wipe up all your extra spills.

Tip 4: Kill the odor

For those who might need to do a little something extra during your next bathroom visit, be prepared with odor killers! Toilet Tamers help you avoid leaving behind that extra funk by dissolving in toilet water and leaving behind a fresh, minty scent.
